Bangalore, INDIA - Subex Limited, a leading global provider of Operations and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) for CSPs (communications service providers), announced today that it has signed a multi-million dollar contract with one of the biggest, tier-1 CSPs in North America, and the world, to implement the ROC for cost management. Subex will implement Lucreta, the cost management component of the ROC to assure all third party content costs for the CSP’s residential video services.
The CSP, being one of the largest in the world, was looking for a superior cost management solution that would help its fast growing video and content business. Subex was chosen after a lengthy selection process, which included proofs of concept as well as detailed product reviews, for its effective and efficient approach to monitor and manage costs of services. This CSP is a long standing customer of Subex and is currently running another very successful ROC application from Subex. The tight integration between various ROC applications also played a key role in the decision.

There is, thus, a heightened need for a solution that accurately and effectively verifies content revenues and agreements. Subex’s Lucreta cost management solution primarily helps service providers to focus on efficient management of costs, an area ignored by many until now, in order to achieve higher profitability. The key feature of Lucreta is its ability to utilize network resources efficiently to reduce network costs - these include leased circuit costs, access costs as well as interconnection costs.
