Subex partners with Dataupia to provide CSPs with advanced Revenue Maximization solutions with Operations Intelligence capabilities

May 06, 2009

Bangalore, INDIA: Subex Limited, a leading global provider of Operations and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS), announced today that it has signed an agreement with Dataupia, the leading provider of scalable data warehousing solutions, to jointly provide communication service providers (CSPs) with state-of-the-art revenue maximization solutions enhanced with real-time operational intelligence capabilities.

With the rise in subscriber numbers and the growing need for real-time operational processes, the volume of usage data that is collected, stored and processed has risen exponentially. In addition, while strategic business intelligence solutions exist, CSPs have a rapidly growing need for operations intelligence and warehousing that are more granular, timely and flexible. These enable real-time operational analytics, issue diagnoses, root-cause correction and ultimately prevention.

"The winning combination of our industry-leading Revenue Maximization solutions, key components of a Revenue Operations Center (ROC), and Dataupia's scalable, high performance data-warehousing solution will provide CSPs with an efficient operations data warehousing system enabling real-time analytics and intelligence leading to greater efficiencies and enhanced business value", said Colin Hales, Vice President - Global Alliances, Subex Ltd. Subex's Revenue Maximization portfolio covers both the revenue and cost streams identifying sources of revenue leakages and avoidable costs. Functions include Revenue Assurance, Cost Management, Fraud Management, Credit Risk Management, Interparty Management, Route Optimization, and Network Asset Assurance. The data warehouse infrastructure provided by Dataupia enables efficient management of large quantities of various usage related data, such as XDRs, signalling traffic, purchase transactions, contact events, and more. This combined solution allows service providers to analyze more granular and timely data at a faster rate while running on a fraction of the hardware they would normally have used.

"Dataupia has helped us do things with our corporate IT infrastructure that we have never been able to do before," said Paul Skillen, President EMEA, Subex Ltd. "With the Dataupia Satori Server we were able to power complex analytic requests that were not possible before - query performance on a large scale is simply outstanding".

Over the past 12 months, deployed solutions have demonstrated dramatic performance gains. Complex queries that previously took two weeks to run are now executed in just a few hours. With the Dataupia Satori Server, extreme scalability and performance across a wide range of user workloads are combined with low system administration and environmentally friendly power consumption to deliver a rapid return on investment.
